Scholarship applications to join the 2025 WIA Summit in Orlando are due by July 13.
ORLANDO, Fla. — Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Women in Agribusiness Student Scholarship Award.
Chosen recipients will enjoy complimentary registration and accommodations Sept. 22-24 at the 2025 WIA Summit in Orlando, where they will be among more than 1,000 decision-makers in the sector. The deadline to submit applications is July 13.
Thanks to generous sponsors, the WIA Student Scholarship Program provides more than $100,000 each year to enable students from accredited colleges and universities to attend the summit and gain industry knowledge, form valuable industry connections and mentorships, and evaluate career paths in agribusiness.
Over the program’s 13-year history, $1.365 million has been awarded, which has benefited nearly 400 young women pursuing careers in ag.
Scholarships are awarded to full-time students — from freshman level through doctorate degree — and paired, as possible, with industry sponsors in their field of study.
Schools represented have included Colorado State University, Cornell University, Iowa State University, Kansas State University and many more.
The opportunities for students to connect onsite at the WIA Summit are numerous. There is an exclusive student breakfast, lunch and workshop, as well as meetings with their sponsoring companies.
Several students have found their career partner at the summit, like Anna Grace Goode who upon graduation from the University of Georgia went to work for Syngenta, representatives of which she met at the WIA Summit.
“WIA taught me the importance of prioritizing and making space to be filled up by women on similar paths. When it comes to building a career within the male-dominated industries of agriculture and technology, female friendship has made all the difference,” Goode said.
Stefanie Bailey, who was student at Duke University when she attended the WIA Summit, was moved by being in a room of powerful and inspiring women who were so willing to find ways to bring more women into the field.
“The connections allowed me to learn more about different paths in agribusiness,” she said. “Not only did the women talk to me about their experience, they were also more than happy to make introductions to people in their network.
“I have reached into that network in my current role to help my clients learn more about agribusiness in the United States and to find experts in different sectors.”
WIA Student Scholarship Eligibility

• Applicants’ areas of study must be in an agriculture-related field. If a student’s major lies outside of this area, she may still be considered if she provides a compelling justification in the application explaining how attending the WIA Summit will be beneficial to her career.
