YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Windsor House recently recognized the latest recipients of the John and Dorothy Masternick Foundation Scholarship, celebrating the accomplishments and aspirations of students who are pursuing higher education in health care and related fields.
Over the past year, the foundation has awarded more than $280,000 in scholarships, which provide financial assistance to students from the Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas as they take the next steps toward their academic and professional goals.
“We are honored to continue the legacy of John and Dorothy Masternick by supporting the next generation of health care professionals and community leaders,” said Danny Rowland, director of marketing at Windsor House. “Their belief in education and service lives on through the success of these students.”
The majority of this year’s scholarship recipients will remain close to home, attending Youngstown State University. Others will pursue their education at Kent State University, as well as local career-focused programs in nursing and allied health at Choffin Career & Technical Center and ETI Technical College.
