Wiregrass Seniors Encouraged to Apply for Energy Southeast Scholarships – Wiregrass Daily News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Wiregrass-area high school seniors graduating in spring 2026 may be eligible for one of 44 scholarships available through the Energy Southeast Scholarship Program.
Energy Southeast and its member cities/utilities will award $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors whose families receive electricity from a participating public power utility in Alabama. Each member city will have four scholarships available.
Since 1992, Energy Southeast has awarded more than $3.5 million in scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Eligible recipients must have a parent or legal guardian who receives electric service from an Energy Southeast member utility and plan to attend a four-year college, community college, or vocational/trade school within Alabama.
Applications are available from school counselors in Energy Southeast member cities or online at www.energysoutheast.com under the “Scholarship” section. The deadline to apply is Monday, Feb. 9, 2026.
