Fifteen Matagorda County high school students and several community leaders stand in for a photo together at the Tenaris Bay City facility after the students were honored with scholarships for their academic performance and excellence in leadership.
Fifteen Matagorda County high schoolers walked away with a combined total of $196,000 in scholarships at Tenaris Bay City’s 11th annual Roberto Rocca Scholarship award ceremony Wednesday night.
Awards included the presentation of a single $60,000 Student of the Year scholarship, six Merit Awards at $20,000 each and eight runners-up scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.
