BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA —Applications are now being accepted for the Women In Defense Space Coast undergraduate and graduate scholarship opportunities for deserving Brevard County students seeking to further their education in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines.
Applications can be completed by submitting online.
Applications must be received by April 25, 11 p.m.
In 2025, the WIDSC Scholarship Program will recognize scholars in two separate categories:
1. Undergraduate: A graduating high school senior or college undergraduate
2. Graduate: A graduating college senior or college graduate student
The qualifying criteria for each scholarship category require that students seek to further their education in STEM studies and be interested in pursuing a career that supports U.S. defense and national security.
Scholarship awards are based on:
● Academic achievement
● Field of study
● Defense and national security activities
● Statements of interest
● Recommendations
Applications can be completed by submitting online. Winners will be announced at the WIDSC Scholarship and Industry Awards event to be held on June 3, at the Courtyard Marriott in Cocoa Beach.

The Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter was founded on January 21, 2013, and is a 501c3 affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association. WIDSC provides networking and professional development opportunities to promote the role of women in national defense and security, to support military service members, and to encourage partnerships within the local contractor
community, defense industry and military personnel.
