The Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) Foundation is supporting area students as they head back into the classroom. The foundation is awarding a total of $25,000 to 14 first-time college students through its annual technical college scholarship program.
The WPS Foundationā€™s technical college scholarships are part of its commitment to enhance educational opportunities for students throughout northeast and north-central Wisconsin. The funding is providing full-year scholarships to this yearā€™s recipients, helping them to continue developing skills in fields such as automotive and heavy equipment maintenance, electric power distribution, engineering technology, and marketing.

Since the program began, the WPS Foundationā€™s technical college scholarships have helped thousands of students, including 16 people who graduated and are current WPS employees.
