Wreath sale supports scholarships for Mohawk Valley students – Rome Sentinel

HERKIMER — It’s beginning to look a lot like … the time of year to support local student scholarships.
The Herkimer Region College and Career Scholarship Foundation’s annual natural wreath sale is taking place now and helps provide financial assistance to technical scholars through awards the foundation gives out each year.
Each wreath is 18 inches and is professionally made with natural evergreen boughs and decorated with a large bow.
The wreaths cost $25 each. Wreaths must be ordered by Friday, Nov. 7. They will be available for pickup on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES William E. Busacker Complex, 352 Gros Blvd.
If you are interested in purchasing a wreath in support of the foundation’s college and career scholarships, contact Kelly Mills at Herkimer BOCES at 315-867-2044 or kmills@herkimer-boces.org. You can also contact any other member of the scholarship foundation.
The Herkimer Region College and Career Scholarship Foundation is a not-for-profit community scholarship foundation. Local citizens from many professions work voluntarily as a group to generate scholarship funds for graduates of high school technical programs in the region and the Herkimer BOCES Adult Practical Nursing Program.
The foundation provides scholarships to adult nursing students and students in technical programs at Herkimer BOCES and its 10 component school districts: Central Valley, Dolgeville, Frankfort-Schuyler, Herkimer, Little Falls, Mount Markham, Owen D. Young, Poland, Richfield Springs and West Canada Valley.
