Wyncote Wealth Management Group (of Janney Montgomery Scott) announced that they will be sponsoring scholarships to youth in need throughout the summer months.
The scholarships will be awarded weekly and will cover the cost of one week of summer camp at the Abington Arts Center. The first scholarship will be announced during the center’s first free concert on Thursday, June 27.
“We are spearheading scholarships for those in need who want to go to the arts center and cannot afford it,” Andy Vitek, Wyncote Wealth’s first vice president said. “We’re very familiar with the Abington Arts Center. My kids went to camps there, and I even took piano lessons there in the early 2000s.”
“We’re in a position where we can give to something important which promotes the arts and the community,” Vitek said.
To apply for a scholarship, you can reach out to the center’s executive director, Rosalie Guzofsky, at rguzofsky@abingtonartcenter.org.
Vitek noted that Abington Arts Center determines the criteria for the scholarships.
