For $5 a month — the cost of a cup of coffee — donors can support scholarships that shape the next generation of professionals.
Young professionals from the Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), part of the Auto Care Association, are encouraging industry peers to “pour it forward” by contributing to a new annual campaign supporting the University of the Aftermarket Foundation’s (UAF) Coffee Club.
The initiative invites individuals to donate as little as $5 per month — the cost of a cup of coffee — to support scholarships and educational programs that help shape the next generation of automotive aftermarket professionals.
To join, individuals can text “YANG” to 53-555 or visit the YANG Fundraiser page on the Auto Care Association’s website to select a donation level and enroll.
To kick off the campaign, YANG is launching a challenge throughout March and April, encouraging its members to become Coffee Club donors and inspire broader industry support. All donors will be listed on the UAF Coffee Club Donors webpage unless they choose to remain anonymous.
“UAF is more than just a scholarship provider — it’s an investment in the future of the automotive aftermarket,” said Matt Fowler, YANG Chair. “By supporting education and professional development, UAF helps ensure that the next generation of industry leaders has the knowledge, skills, and resources to keep our industry thriving.”
Jennifer Tio, executive director of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, praised the campaign’s collaborative spirit. “The partnership between YANG and UAF is a wonderful example of industry members working together to make a difference,” she said. “Their enthusiasm and generous spirit will have a profound impact on the future of the auto care industry.”
Scholarship opportunities funded by contributions to the Coffee Club are significant. More than $800,000 in scholarships will be awarded for the 2025–26 academic year to students pursuing four- or two-year degrees, as well as those enrolled in ASE/NATEF-certified automotive, collision and heavy-duty/diesel post-secondary programs. Applications are open through March 31 on the Aftermarket Scholarship Central website.
Since its founding in 1986, UAF has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships and grants and continues to promote educational advancement across the aftermarket sector.
