FRANKLIN COUNTY — Young Professionals of Franklin County presented two $500 scholarships last Thursday, July 17.
The scholarship recognizes two students, one pursuing a traditional college program and on a technical field.
“Our vision is to help young professionals establish deep roots in our community, encouraging them to stay and build prosperous lives in Franklin County, Vermont,” YPFC chair Elysia Daigneault said. “These scholarships aim to support high school seniors whose educational and career aspirations align with this vision, fostering a commitment to contribute to the growth and vitality of our region.”
The traditional college program scholarship went to Addison Charron. She plans to attend the University of Vermont and major in medical laboratory studies.
The technical field scholarship went to Briana Hawkins. She graduated BFA-St Albans and Northwest Career and Technical Center as a fully-licensed cosmetologist who is currently working at Robin’s Shear Designs.
