With the price of higher education constantly on the rise, family members of Zochem employees will now get a chance for help with tuition costs.
Zochem, a zinc oxide manufacturer with locations in Dickson and Brampton, Ontario, Canada, launched the Zochem scholarship last month.  The scholarship is open to the immediate family members of Zochem employees including children, domestic partners and spouses, and the scholarships will be awarded to two recipients in the amount of $2,500 each.
The first winner was Malik Williams, son of Zochem corporate controller Carrie Morgan. He is a senior at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville and majoring in business Management.
Mo Sharma, Zochem’s president and CEO commented, “The Zochem Scholarship program reflects our commitment to investing in the future and supporting individuals such as Malik is a true pleasure.  I am looking forward to recognizing another well-deserving recipient in our Brampton, ON location in the very near future and we cannot wait to see the positive impact this program will have for years to come.  Congratulations, Malik!”
Zochem is partnering with International Scholarship and Tuition Services, which will award and run the scholarship to ensure impartiality, according to Zochem Human Resources Business Partner Erin Love-Wirth.  The scholarship was established as a way to invest in Zochem’s employees and strengthen families.  “We see how hard our employees work to ensure their families are taken care of, and we wanted to give back to them in a meaningful way that would make a positive impact on them. Creating a scholarship was an excellent way to support Zochem families in their growth as it demonstrates our dedication to our employees and to our local community,” Love-Wirth said.
