CLOSINGS & CANCELLATIONS
Listen to our interview with Julie Howard here:
An opportunity is now available for youth interested in building upon their skills in the sport of rodeo. The George Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarding several scholarships to youth ages 7-18 who desire to attend a rodeo school or camp in 2025.
George Howard coached rodeo for 35 years at the collegiate level garnering seven national team titles, 27 individual national champions and numerous regional individual and team titles. He grew up loving the cowboy way of life and participated in the National Little Britches Rodeo Association, Colorado High School Rodeo Association, numerous team roping associations and the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Outside of his impressive accolades, George was known as a man of integrity, wisdom, knowledge, kindness and honesty. He was known to live out his values by passing them on to his students and youth. To honor his legacy, collegiate and youth scholarships are awarded every year. At this time, applications are only being accepted for the youth awards.
