The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is now accepting applications for its “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Promoting Food Security and Economic Development” training programme. This initiative, targeting young entrepreneurs aged 18-45 from Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon, aims to empower participants with essential entrepreneurship skills, particularly in food security, to foster economic growth and tackle food insecurity.
Programme Details:
- Duration: June 2024 – March 2025
 - Application Deadline: June 30, 2024
 - Delivery Mode: Online (English)
 - Cost: Free, funded by the Government and People of Japan
 
Programme Phases:
- Phase 1 (July-October 2024): Online training on entrepreneurship fundamentals and agribusiness.
 - Phase 2 (October-December 2024): Advanced training for top participants to create solutions for food security challenges.
 - Phase 3 (December 2024-March 2025): Development of business blueprints with mentorship for the top performers.
 
Eligibility
- Ages 18-45
 - Good English skills
 - Commitment to the programme
 - Experience or interest in agribusiness, food security, or entrepreneurship
 - Available 2-4 hours per week
