Chamblee High School senior Nora Glass has been awarded the National Merit Scholarship, as announced by the organization on May 7, 2025. Nora received a $2,500 scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. She is among 6,930 recipients nationwide, chosen from 15,000 finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, which distributed nearly $26 million in college scholarships this year.
The National Merit Scholarship winners are finalists from each state who have demonstrated a strong combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in challenging college studies. The number of winners selected from each state corresponds to that state’s percentage of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.
Nora and the other National Merit Scholarship recipients were chosen by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors, who evaluated the information submitted by the students and their high schools.
Congratulations to Nora Glass, a most deserving Merit Scholar!
