A leading national provider of building technology and energy solutions is investing in students at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Climatec LLC has established a $2,000 annual scholarship that will give students the opportunity to begin or advance their education in building technologies. The scholarship will be awarded to students based on primary and secondary preferences.
Primary preference for the Climatec, A Bosch Company Corporate Scholarship will be given to Climatec employees, dependents of employees or interns who are enrolled at Penn College.
Secondary preference will be for full-time students who have completed two years of study in the building automation engineering technology major, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and reside in Arizona, California, New York or Texas.
A Corporate Tomorrow Maker, Climatec is the largest privately owned building technologies provider in the nation.
“We are very grateful for the financial commitment that Climatec has made to the college,” said Elizabeth A. Biddle, senior corporate relations director. “Climatec has been a consistent presence at our Career Fairs, so the company knows, firsthand, the value Penn College graduates bring to the workforce. Their new scholarship will ease the financial burden for future students seeking rewarding careers.”
At the end of the spring semester, the company provided two days of presentations and recruitment directed at students in heating, ventilation & air conditioning engineering technology, electrical technology and building automation engineering technology classes.
“Climatec is committed to recruiting and supporting Penn College students,” said Dave Muro, technical training manager for Climatec. “These students and graduates bring the talent needed to succeed at Climatec and serve our customers as leaders in the industry.”
