PAWTUCKET — Coastal1 Credit Union awarded $42,000 in scholarships last month to 21 students.
Eleven students were awarded Coastal1 Investing In Your Future scholarships totaling $22,000. Scholarships were awarded to high school students pursuing their higher education goals at Yale University, Providence College, Curry College, and Roger Williams University, among others.
Nine children of employees were awarded the Coastal1 Investing In Your Future Employees’ Scholarship totaling $18,000. These students will be pursuing majors in cyber security, electrical engineering, nursing, and more.
And, in memory of a late colleague, an additional $2,000 was awarded to the recipient of The Thomas May Memorial Scholarship.
