College of Wooster in the United States of America is very excited to welcome a Music Scholarships for International Students to apply for thier Music Scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024.
INTRODUCTION
The College of Wooster was selected again this year as one of the nation’s top schools by The Princeton Review in its guidebook, The Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition. They are offring Scholarships to incoming first-year international students during their senior year of high school (transfers are not eligible) on the basis of music performance skills demonstrated by the audition or compositional skills evidenced by written scores.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The applicants must participate in music degree program throughout their time at Wooster.
- Applicant must me an International Student
AWARDS
- The winners of the Music Scholarships will be getting $2,000 to $8,000 per year to pursue their degrees and major in performing arts by the College of Wooster.
- Awarded to incoming first-year students during their senior year of high school (transfers are not eligible) on the basis of music performance skills demonstrated by the audition or compositional skills evidenced by written scores.
- In addition, music lesson fees for a student holding a music scholarship are reduced to $25/semester for half-hour weekly private lessons on the instrument of your audition.
- Please note that you should only apply for one scholarship area. Recipients are not required to major or minor in music at Wooster. Those applying must perform in areas in which the College offers instruction.
HOW TO APPLY?
Interested candidates are required to apply through the given application form of this program at Wooster. Complete the general application for admission and complete the Music Scholarship Application Form.
- Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
- Submit ONE or TWO letters of recommendation (teachers / instructors in the respective field).
- Letters of recommendation in Word or PDF format may be attached to the scholarship form at the time of submission or may be sent separately via email to mpuster@wooster.edu.
- Admission Requirements: The applicants must provide a certificate of one standardized test such as SAT or ACT.
- Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- TOEFL PBT – 550
- TOEFL IBT – 80
- IELTS – 7.0
