The Community Foundation of NCW is now accepting scholarship applications for students who plan to attend community college, university, or trade school in Fall 2025.
Over 160 scholarships are available to high school seniors, current college students, and nontraditional students, each with unique criteria and award amounts. Most scholarships seek to support students who have served their community, show growth and potential, and demonstrate financial need.
“Our scholarships have been established by people in our region who care about helping local students achieve their education and career dreams” said Julie Mott, scholarship program specialist. “Each was created with a certain student in mind, so there is really something for everyone. We encourage anyone who plans on going to college or trade school this fall to apply.”
The application process is completed online. A universal application allows students to apply once and qualify for multiple scholarship opportunities.
The application deadline for general scholarships is March 1st. The deadline for nursing/allied health/trade school scholarships is June 1st. If students plan to apply for the latter, it is recommended they apply for general scholarships as well and meet the March 1st deadline.
Students will need to complete the FAFSA before applying, as well as obtaining letters of recommendation from teachers and/or mentors, and school transcripts, so proper planning is highly recommended. Last year, over $1.2M in scholarships was awarded to students across North Central Washington.
