Enrollment in Compact is open to all students who are interested in building their employability skills, in networking with local businessmen and women, and in building a career portfolio that reflects their preparation for entering higher education or the job market upon graduation from high school.
The goals of Compact are to educate students about careers to help them make an informed choice, educate students about hiring procedures, encourage students to have a career plan, and to encourage in students those “intangible” characteristics that are necessary for success in most jobs, such as commitment, initiative, punctuality and concern for performance.
The Compact steering committee members include Ann Leonard, Dave Maupin, Dan Shefchik, Alicia Past, Janelle Winters, Greg Jones, Edgar Gonzalez, Sam Edion, Stephen Crane, Reggie Brown, Susan Duron and Robert Duron, and school board member Michele Rendler.
