WACO, Texas — Attention high school seniors, applications are now open for two scholarships from the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco.
The museum said it is offering two $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors pursuing education in business, management, entrepreneurship, marketing and “related fields”.
Applications opened on Feb. 24 and will remain open through 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18, the museum said.
The first scholarship the museum is offering is the Dr Pepper Museum Leadership Scholarship, which is need-based and available to students pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Innovative Technology, Management or Marketing, according to the museum.
The second scholarship is the Dr Pepper Museum & Free Enterprise Institute Entrepreneur Scholarship, which is open to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Dallas County or McLennan County. The scholarship is not need-based and is open to students of all financial backgrounds, according to the museum. Applicants must pursue a course of study in Entrepreneurship and/or Innovative Technology and must “demonstrate entrepreneurial accomplishments, experience and future goals,” the museum said.
To be eligible, applicants must be graduating between May and August 2025 and must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year university or college including TSTC and MCC, the museum said.
Students who have started their own business are especially encouraged to apply.
