Emporia State University is celebrating students named as part of two different scholarship programs.
ESU recently honored its latest classes of Capitol Federal and Sauder scholars as part of separate activities on campus.
The Capitol Federal program offers scholarships for high-achieving students in Emporia State’s School of Business + Technology. This program is now more than two decades old and homored nearly 30 students earlier this month.
The Sauder program focuses on student athletes and was started by a donation from the late Earl Sauder in 2004. After his passing in 2006, Sauder’s son, Steve, and his wife Bobbi, continued the program and also added a scholarship specifically for student athletes in the nursing program.
