High school seniors on the Eastern Shore of Virginia have the opportunity to apply for the Young Professionals 2024-2025 Scholarship, offered by the Young Professionals and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation. This scholarship will award one student a $1,000 scholarship to assist with their post-secondary education. The deadline for applications is April 11, 2025.
To be eligible, applicants must be graduating from an Eastern Shore of Virginia high school or home school program in Spring 2025 and must plan to continue their education at a college, university, or trade school beginning in Fall 2025. Along with a completed application form, students must submit a one-page personal statement detailing their post-high school plans, including their intended college and major. Additionally, applicants must provide a 1-2 page essay responding to one of two prompts: either discussing the challenges of beginning a professional career on the Eastern Shore and how they can prepare for them, or reflecting on how growing up on the Eastern Shore has prepared them for life after high school, including the most valuable resources they have utilized.
Applications must be submitted by April 11, 2025, either by mail or email. Mailed applications should be sent to Young Professionals 2024-2025 Scholarship, c/o Lynn Brankley, P.O.
