PIKE COUNTY – Fluor-BWXT awarded $24,000 in in scholarships to students in Pike, Scioto, Ross and Jackson counties who are pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
Unioto High School’s Chloe Detty, Charlie Lewis, and Grayson Misita are this year’s Ross County winners.
“This is a highly competitive scholarship program and the level of talent and leadership among our applicants is truly remarkable,” said FBP President and CEO Greg Wilkett in a news release “These students represent some of the brightest young minds in our community and we are proud to support their goals as they prepare for a STEAM career.”
More than 100 students applied for this year’s scholarship, and 12 students were awarded $2,000 to pursue their degrees. Since 2011 the FBP STEAM Scholarship has awarded $312,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors.
