CMU awards scholarships and bursaries to approximately 50% of the student body each year.
Choose from degrees in Science, Business, Music, Music Therapy, Social Work (NEW!), and 19 Bachelor of Arts majors.
We’re small, which means we’re big on providing a safe, supportive community with opportunities to academically, socially, and spiritually thrive.
All students are welcome to CMU regardless of their identity, background, or beliefs.
CMU recognizes that a university education can be expensive. We want to assist you in making your education experience affordable. CMU offers over 300 unique scholarships and bursaries to students. In 2022/23, students received over $720,000 in scholarships and bursaries. During the school year, you will receive regular updates informing you of scholarship and bursary opportunities within and beyond CMU.

Current, registered students can view their billing information on their CMU student portal in the "Billing" section.
If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident you can apply for student aid through your provincial student aid body to support your studies at CMU. You may be eligible for Federal and Provincial loans as well as provincial bursaries and federal grants.
CMU student Karissa Durant has been awarded a prestigious Canada Graduate Scholarship Master's award worth $17,500.
The Government of Canada announced in March the results of the competition for the 2022/23 academic year. The scholarships are administered by Canada's federal granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
This year's recipients are Micah Janzen, Madeline Hiebert, Lia Campbell-Enns, and Julia Sawatzky. Each awarded $3,500 annually for up to four years, to a maximum of $14,000.
