Home » George Snow Scholarship Fund Announces Expansion
Providing life-changing scholarships to deserving students is busy work, and the George Snow Scholarship Fund (GSSF) is expanding to continue meeting the ever-growing demand.
The local nonprofit has announced a partnership with The Studio at Mizner Park in construction of the Snow Success Center, which will provide additional office space for staff, interns and volunteers, as well as dedicated space for one-on-one mentoring, career coaching, academic guidance and creative space for Snow Scholars.
“This expansion is more than just adding office space. It’s a testament to the 43-year journey we’ve been on as an organization and community asset,” said GSSF President Tim Snow in a press release. “What began as a tribute to my father—awarding 3 local students a total of $8,000—has grown into a life-changing mission with a profound generational impact.”
To finance the expansion, the GSSF has launched a $500,000 capital campaign which will give donors the opportunity to have areas of the building named in their honor, including the lobby, gallery, offices, cubicles, outdoor patio, the center itself (for $150,000), and more. For more information on how to support the expansion contact GSSF Vice President of Development Jay Brandt at Jbrandt@scholarship.org or 561/809-9999, or visit Scholarship.org/Expansion
Founded in 1982 as a memorial to Boca resident George Snow, the GSSF has raised more than $31 million since its inception and aided more than 3,300 deserving scholars achieve a college education through beloved community events like the Boca Ballroom Battle and upcoming Cowboy Ball.
