The deadline is approaching for Grand Rapids Community College students to have a chance at lightening their financial load. March 15 is the last day to turn in the GRCC’s Foundation Scholarship application for a chance to qualify for one of over 300 scholarships, totaling $1 million.
Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships whether they are full-time, part-time, or somewhere in between. The application is free, easy and available to every student. To apply, login to the MyGRCC portal, and the application is found under the Academic Works tab. From there you’re on the pathway to opportunity and success in a matter of minutes.
When Financial Aid Technical Specialist, Amanda Konwinski, was asked if taking the time to fill out the foundation scholarship application was worth it, she had no second thought.
“Oh yeah, without a doubt,” she said. “It’s a very easy application. It’s very quick and it can bring great benefits to you for… paying for your tuition in the long run, so I would definitely recommend every student do it.”
