A Harnett County high school senior has been offered more than $3 million in scholarships.
JaKayla Duell is a graduating senior from Overhills High School. She is a stellar student who balances leadership roles, a part-time job and academic excellence.
Duell will be attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She plans to study biology and military science on a pre-med track, with with the hopes of becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist in the United States Army.
Duell has been awarded several scholarships, including the prestigious Army ROTC Scholarship.
