HONOLULU (Island News) – Hawaii high school students still have a chance to apply for Hawaii Medical Service Association’s (HMSA) Kaimana Scholarships!
Students set to graduate in 2025 from a public, private, or independent high school in Hawaii are still able to apply for the 20th annual HMSA Kaimana Scholarship, where HMSA will award 20 scholarships worth $5,000 each.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, and community service.
To be eligible, students must graduate from a Hawaii high school in 2025 with a 2.75 or higher GPA verified by a school transcript submitted by a school official. Participation in at least one Hawaii High School Athletic Association league-sanctioned sport during one or more of their high school years is also required. Students must also be involved in community service projects in addition to school activities.
A personal statement and essay, along with two letters of recommendation from school faculty, mentors, or coaches, is also required.
Applications must be received online by 4 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025.
