Ingleside Garden Club members are shown reviewing the name of a raffle winner during the Ingleside Round Up March 21-23.
The Ingleside Garden Club was at the city’s annual Round Up festival, March 21-23, to garner funding for its scholarship fund.
Through a raffle of nearly 30 items, the club was able to raise $928.
Over the past year, through its plant sales and other events, the club was able to provide three graduating Ingleside High School seniors with $1,000 scholarships.
“The club would like to thank all the festival goers who donated to the raffle during the three-day festival,” a spokesperson said.
In addition, the club wants to express its appreciation to the following businesses and residents who donated items to be raffled: Corpus Christi Hooks, Lone Star Lumber, Liz Dineen, South Texas Tattoo, Discount Tire, RBFCU, Bonnie Hodge, Whataburger, City Café, G&S Tattoo Studio, Aransas Glass, Gill’s Nursery, Congressman Michael Cloud, Texas Rep. J.M. Lozano, TKO Pain Laser Center, Melanie Shafer, Ingleside H-E-B, Elisa Grandos, and club members President Susan Beaubien, Treasurer Martha Habluetzel, Secretary Patsy Hunt, Historian Joyce Turner and Tanya Bentsen.
Member Fred Bradford provided the tea that was given away for a donation.
Myranda Billman was chair of the club’s fundraiser, assisted by co-chair Luwana Billman.
“Also, a big thank you to club members who went out and asked for the donations,” said Luwana Billman.
