The IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union’s 2025 “Cash for Class” scholarship applications are now open, offering a total of more than $30,000 to Quad-Cities area students hoping to further their education.
Students who are IHMVCU members by the application deadline and are graduating high school seniors or current college students at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational school are eligible to apply.
Applicants must submit an online application, a written or video essay and two recommendation letters before Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m.
Over the last 25 years, IHMVCU has provided nearly $400,000 in scholarships to more than 300 students. This year, IHMVCU partnered with the Dream Educational Foundation for the Cash for Class program.
“As a credit union, our mission has always been to support the financial well-being of our members, and that extends to helping them achieve their educational goals. Offering scholarships is one of the many ways we can invest in the future of our communities, empowering students to succeed and reduce the financial burden of higher education,” said CEO and President Brian Laufenberg. “We’re proud to play a role in making education more accessible and are excited to support the next generation of leaders.”
