Indiana University South Bend is increasing scholarships to support incoming freshmen and transfer students through its Titan Scholarship and the new Titan Transfers Scholarship.
Eligible first-time freshmen must be admitted to the university by the extended date of March 15, 2025. Transfer students need to be fully admitted by June 15, 2025 to be eligible.
“We know how important it is for students to have the resources they need to achieve their education and career goals,” Interim Deputy Chancellor Andy Williams said in a news release. “That’s why we’re making support available to new students on the IU South Bend campus.”
Tiered Titan scholarships will be awarded to outstanding graduating high school seniors planning to enroll as full-time degree-seeking students beginning in the fall of 2025.
Titan Gold awards have been increased to a total value of up to $8,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.75 or higher. The Titan Silver award has been increased to a total value of up to $4,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and would now be offered to students with a High School Honors diploma and a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
The Onsite award has been increased to a total value of up to $3,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher when students apply during a high school visit by IU South Bend admissions counselors.
“More than 70% of our students receive some sort of scholarship or financial aid which helps make IU South Bend an attainable destination to gain a valuable IU degree,” Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Jill Pearon said.
IUSB will continue to offer other scholarship opportunities for outstanding high school students with a minimum GPA of 3.5. All incoming students are encouraged to apply for additional scholarships.
The new Titan Transfers Scholarship for Indiana residents transferring to IUSB with qualifying GPA and transfer credits, enrolling in a full-time in-person degree offers a total value of up to $3,000 for up to three years. Students must maintain a minimum 2.8 CGPA, enroll full-time each fall and spring term and complete 24 credit hours each year toward their degree.
In December, the Indiana Department of Education rolled out its new high school diploma that takes effect in 2025. It’s a single diploma, replacing the Core 40 and Academic Honors diplomas. The Indiana General Assembly is expected to approve it….
