BEMIDJI — The Katie Brommenschenkel Vilmo Scholarship, a fund hosted by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, is seeking qualified students to apply for the 2025 scholarship round.
The scholarship is intended for students who are majoring in agriculture, agriculture education or agri-related business. Applicants must be pursuing a post-secondary education through a college, university, trade school, tech school or another nonprofit accredited program.

The scholarship was established by the friends and family of Katie Brommenschenkel Vilmo to honor her memory and her passion for farm life.
The annual scholarship supports students from school districts in NMF’s service area including Red Lake Nation, White Earth Nation and Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau counties, as well as Hillsboro, N.D.
Applications for the scholarship are being accepted through April 15. Applications are available online at nwmf.org by clicking on the “Grants and Scholarships” tab on the home page.
