GRANVILLE – The Granville Lions Club has awarded scholarships to three college freshmen for their outstanding academic achievement during their first semester in college.
Receiving $1,000 each were Kierra Rice and Lauren Bascom, both of whom attend VSU-Castleton, and Savannah Illsley who attends SUNY Cobleskill.
The club also presented the Salvation Army with a $500 check for the Red Kettle Fund.
Welcomed as new members at the Jan. 7 meeting were Taylor Gould and Amy Robbins.
