The Mid States Club Hockey Association awards four scholarships to seniors at the end of the season. Here are this year’s winners:
• Kriegshauser Memorial Scholarship to Duchesne’s Trenton Gebben-Thompson.
• Wickenheiser Memorial Scholarship to Logan Whitlock of Fort Zumwalt East.
• Nichols Memorial Scholarship to Blake Arias of Vianney.
• Colin Brown Memorial Scholarship to Joe Potter of CBC.
The scholarships are all awarded to seniors; the amount of each is $5,000.
Herman Kriegshauser and Ray Harrison were two of the members of the Mid States Board back in the 1970’s.

John Nichols was involved in Mid States for many years, as a coach at Fox High. After that, he was on the Mid-States Board of Directors serving in many positions. Colin Brown was a CBC student and local hockey player who died in November 2024, after being struck by a bullet while riding in the car with his father. The Colin Brown scholarship is a combined award from Mid States and Missouri Hockey in his memory.
