MOORHEAD — You can make a difference in a college student’s life by being part of MSUM’s Giving Day.
The online fundraiser supports student scholarships and programs.

It’s the sixth annual Giving Day and the goal is to raise more than $500,000 from more than 1,000 donors.
The event raised $460,000 in 2023.
You can choose what organizations get your donations and reaching certain donor levels will unlock gifts for the university.
One program you can donate directly to is the Student Emergency Assistance Fund, which can provide up to $500 to a student experiencing a one-time unexpected crisis.
Leaders with the MSUM Foundation say programs like that rely on fundraiser events to keep going.
“By participating in Giving Day, it’s really easy for folks to give right to the students, through the MSUM Foundation, and then we’re able to work with our partners on campus to make sure that those needs go to who they need them for,” Steve Sjoberg, the director of communication with the MSUM Foundation, said.
You can donate at their website.
