The Napa Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) announced the Coppola Family Travel Scholarship, “a unique opportunity for Napa County high school students in grades 10-12 who dream of exploring the world.”
This one-time educational enrichment grant aims to support students wishing to participate in summer enrichment programs either in the United States or Europe, focusing on personal and academic development through cultural exchange, said a news release.
Lupe Reyes, NVCF’s director of grants and scholarships, shared, “We’re looking for students who not only dream of traveling but are ready to immerse themselves in new cultures and learning experiences. This scholarship is a bridge to those opportunities.”

Eligible students “must demonstrate a curiosity for global cultures, a commitment to their academic and personal growth, and a need for financial assistance to cover program costs. Students are required to maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and exhibit a strong work ethic through commitment to studies, school or extracurricular activities, and other responsibilities.”
The application process includes a 500-word essay detailing the chosen program and its alignment with the applicant’s goals as well as a 250-word essay on preparedness for the program. Applicants will also be asked for information on their financial need.
Awards vary based on the program applicants have selected and financial need, ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. The deadline for submission is April 19.
For further details and application guidance, including for undocumented youth, interested students can contact Lupe Reyes or Jessica Rodriguez at scholarships@napavalleycf.org, or 707-254-9565.
