The Newnan Chapter of Continental Societies Inc. is reviving its signature event, the Magnolia “Dayla,” as a fundraiser to support its scholarship fund and educational initiatives.
The event is set for March 22 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road.
The Magnolia “Dayla” will celebrate spring with an afternoon of dancing, fellowship, food and entertainment, all while raising funds for local youth programs. The event will also showcase work by local artist Ezra Thompson, providing attendees with an intimate art experience.
Guests are encouraged to wear semi-formal “chic garden party” attire. Tickets are $65 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the chapter’s scholarships and educational efforts.
For those unable to attend, donations are also being accepted to support the cause.
The Newnan Chapter of Continental Societies Inc., founded in 1992, is part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, particularly those with special needs. “We are thrilled to host the Magnolia ‘Dayla’ and bring the community together for such an important cause,” said Melvinor J. Kendrick, founder of the Newnan Chapter of Continental Societies Inc. “This event is an opportunity to celebrate spring, support education, and positively impact the lives of local children.”
The Continental Societies Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization with chapters across the U.S. and Bermuda. Its mission is to promote the welfare of children through educational and developmental programs.
