HUNTINGTON, NY — Town of Huntington high school seniors who plan to major in the performing arts, visual arts or music in college this fall can pick up an application for the Otto Kahn Scholarship at their high school, Friends of Oheka announced.
Students should check with their high school guidance office or principal’s office for the applications, which are due by Friday, April 11.
Applications are available at the following high schools: Cold Spring Harbor, Half Hollow Hills East, Half Hollow Hills West, Harborfields, Huntington, John Glenn, Northport and Walt Whitman.
The winners will receive awards, and their talents will be shared at Friends of Oheka’s annual Garden Party, scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, at Oheka Castle.
“We’re thrilled to continue Otto Kahn’s legacy of supporting the arts with the continued vision of
Oheka’s owner, Gary Melius,” Friends of Oheka wrote in a news release.
Friends of Oheka, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection, preservation and public awareness of Oheka Castle, a “monument to a bygone era and a testament to Huntington’s commitment to historic preservation.”
