The hundreds of items to be bid on Feb. 15 at the 24th annual Shelbyville Rotary Club Dinner and Auction included gift cards galore, a one-hour massage, 50 cheeseburger coupons and a Swiss blue necklace with round diamonds valued at $1,850.
Hundreds showed up to bid on items at the downtown Conference Center in a silent auction and a live auction.
Proceeds from the event help provide scholarships to students at Shelby County High and Martha Layne Collins High and support Student Loan Fund, Polio Plus, Polio Education, Shelby County Project Graduation, Awake Ministries, Farmers Feeding Families, Father’s Love, Shelbyville Parks and Recreation and other community needs.
The dinner and auction are the Rotary Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
