SAN ANTONIO — On Tuesday, students will be able to reach for new heights and they’ll have a little professional help during the 9th Annual Dream Big Mixer.
It’s a DreamWeek event supporting the Dream Big Scholarship Fund for minority youth in our area.
The Dream Big Mixer creates a space for leaders from different backgrounds to build relationships and network.
Organizers are expecting over 300 people to show up in Tuesday’s event.
Food, door prizes, live music, and a raffle drawing will be included for everyone signing up.
It costs $10 to register, and all proceeds go to the Dream Big Scholarship Fund.
The more people who register, the more students they’re able to help.
The scholarship focuses on seniors graduating from a San Antonio High School who plan to attend university, community college or trade school in the fall.
It also benefits college students who graduated from a Texas High School.
Both scholarships are given based on GPA, community involvement, leadership skills, financial need, and personal essays.
The scholarship application will open on February 5.
Tuesday’s Mixer will be at Smoke Skybar from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
