Qualified students in San Patricio County and Aransas County can now apply for scholarships that will be awarded by the county’s local farm bureau.
On Feb. 13, the Sinton-based San Patricio County Farm Bureau announced that the organization will be awarding scholarships totaling up to $15,000 to qualified 2025 graduating seniors in San Patricio County and Aransas County.
According to the San Patricio County Farm Bureau, the scholarships are only for those who reside in either San Patricio or Aransas County. Those who are interested can ask their respective high school counselors for more information about applying.
Only students from Sinton High School, Aransas Pass High School, Gregory-Portland High School, Ingleside High School, Mathis High School, Odem High School, Taft High School, Port Aransas High School, and Rockport-Fulton High School can apply. Applicants who are a currently enrolled college/vocation/technical school student, or part of an approved home school program are also eligible provided they are the child of a San Patricio County Farm Bureau member with a current membership, according to the organization.
Applicants must also be enrolling in a college, university or a vocational school in the fall semester following graduation.
Students can contact their counselors for the application form and other requirements, which must be submitted by March 15 to the San Patricio County Farm Bureau, 1129 E. Sinton Street, Sinton, Texas 78387. They can also be dropped off prior to the deadline in the county office.
Anyone with questions regarding the scholarships can reach out to Samantha Munguia at 361-364-1392.
