RACINE COUNTY, Wis. — A new scholarship program is now accepting applications for passes and swim lessons at the SC Johnson Community Aquatic Center.
The program is funded by a $5,000 donation from SC Johnson and targets reducing economic barriers for community members seeking summer recreation, according to a press release from Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave.

The center officially opens for the summer on May 25, weather permitting.
The scholarships are available to families and individuals in Racine County who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals.
Qualified applicants can receive a 50% discount on five-day, 10-day, and seasonal membership passes. Families who attend a Water Safety Swim session could see a 75% discount.
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility, proof of address and a photo ID. More information about the application process, eligibility criteria and necessary documentation can be found here.
Racine Unified School District families can confirm their eligibility by contacting food.service@rusd.org, while families from other schools should reach out to their respective school offices for confirmation.
