GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Medical or osteopathic students with ties to the North State will have an opportunity to earn Enloe Health’s Invest in the Future Scholarship. 
Enloe Health is an independent, nonprofit system offering an array of medical services for patients throughout Butte County and California’s North State. Medical services include cardiac surgery and heart care, neurosurgeryorthopedicsjoint replacementcancer carematernity carewomen’s services and bariatrics.
The Invest in the Future Scholarship is available to applicants who graduated from a high school in Butte, Glenn or Tehama counties or from California State University, Chico, who aspire to practice medicine in the area.
Chosen applicants will be awarded up to $3,000. The number of scholarships will be determined when all applications have been received. Multiple recipients might be selected. 
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 1. Recipients will be announced by April 30. The scholarship is administered through the Enloe Health Recruiting Department. 
“We’re thrilled to offer this scholarship again,” said Sean Maiorano, D.O., Enloe Health’s Chief Medical Officer. “Providing aspiring students from the area with the opportunity to pursue their dreams and practice medicine shapes the future of health care in the North State.”
Applicants must be attending an accredited medical/osteopathic school or an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited residency program within the United States.
Applicants must provide a completed application, cover letter, two letters of recommendation, proof of acceptance or good standing in a medical or osteopathic program, and curriculum vitae.
