MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – The Trinity Health Foundation awarded scholarships to a handful of aspiring nurses Thursday night.
The foundation recognized 11 recipients at its annual banquet. Hannah Hagen of Glenburn was one of them.
Hagen is a senior at Minot State and said she is excited to continue her nursing career at Trinity Health following her graduation.
“To know that no matter how much I may not believe in myself, that there will always be a company and a foundation that firmly believes in my future,” said Hagen.
The foundation board’s director Dusty Zimmerman said the students ranged from high school seniors to those graduating college this year.
She said this year roughly $48,000 from the foundation’s endowment fund will be awarded, and they added a new form of scholarship.
“We are giving out three $10,000 scholarships and those students are committing to work for Trinity for two years after they graduate,” said Zimmerman.
Zimmerman said this event is one of the foundation’s signature ones.
The scholarship program was launched in 1995.
