A new round of scholarships and grants is up for grabs.
The Excellence in Education, Margaret Dulaney, and Susan B. Herron Grants support field trips, school supplies, activities, community events, and nonprofits.
The Community Foundation of East Mississippi says they are funded by funds established to honor the memories of those who made great positive impacts in the community.
“The past couple of years we’ve been able to support art programs in our school systems, and they are very wide and verse to see what these students are able to experience. It’s really exciting to see the ability to give these scholarships out each year and see these students go and receive a higher education,” Christin Waters, Community Foundation of East Mississippi’s executive director, said.
Applications are open until March 31.
