The Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation has awarded 44 scholarships totaling $22,400 for students enrolled for the fall 2024 semester.
Scholarships are funded by both internal and external donors and are awarded each semester based on specific requirements determined by the donor.
Here is a glance at scholarship recipients from Clayton County:
The Miracle Workers Tuition Scholarship is a $900 tuition scholarship for a student who is not eligible for the HOPE Grant/Scholarship, WIOA and/or the Pell Grant and/or any other financial aid.
A Clayton County student receiving a scholarship:
♦ Tamiya Eure, Health Care Management Degree.

The Tiger Campaign Tuition Scholarship is a $250 tuition scholarship for a student in a certificate, diploma, or degree program at Southern Crescent Technical College.
Clayton County students receiving scholarships are:
♦ Terica Brown, Associate of Science Nursing.
♦ Robin Mark, Health Care Management Degree.
♦ Alisha Whittler, Associate of Science Nursing.

The Lespedeza Fund Scholarship, honoring the memory of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson, is a $1,100 tuition, textbook & toolbox need-based scholarship awarded to a first-generation student.
A Clayton County student receiving a scholarship:
♦ Shannon Shelton, Business Administration Technology Diploma.

The Southern Contractors Association Textbook and Toolbox Scholarship is a $250 textbook and toolbox scholarship for the purchase of program-required textbooks & tools, uniforms, equipment, and/or supplies.
The Foundation awarded one $250 scholarship for Fall 2024 semester to:
♦ Tobias Richardson, Civil Engineering Technology.
