Soroptimist International of Quincy announces it is again offering scholarships to seniors at Quincy Junior-Senior High School, Plumas Charter School’s Quincy Learning Center and Portola Junior-Senior High School.
Applicants may apply for one of three scholarships. The academic scholarship is open to graduating seniors who plan to pursue higher education at a two-year and subsequently four-year college or university to receive a baccalaureate degree or higher.
The Theta Brown fine arts scholarship is open to seniors who plan to pursue higher education in the fine arts: music, drama, art, dance, literary arts, etc.
The technical/vocational scholarship is open to seniors who enroll in a technical/vocational program for two years receiving a certificate at completion.
Awards range from $500 to $750. Applications are available at each Quincy and Portola school site. Applicants can also contact Sue Gutierrez at sue1776@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, April 18.
