He received the Theodore Batterman Family, the Doc Russell Athletic, and the Ed Karrels AP Computer Science scholarships from the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation.
{span}{span}The Don Gruber Memorial Athletic Scholarship is now available to graduating seniors at Fort Atkinson High School, thanks to the kindness of the Gruber family and friends of Don Gruber. {/span}, Gruber (1937-2023) was a longtime educator, varsity boys basketball coach and athletic director in the Fort Atkinson school district from the 1960s into the 1990s. {/span}
In 2023, The Gary and Bonnie Hamm scholarship fund was made available to graduating Fort Atkinson High School seniors who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year public college or university. Gary and Bonnie both spent their careers teaching in the School District of Fort Atkinson.
