Two high school seniors from Tucson on Friday each received a scholarship to college worth up $40,000.
Umar Mohd Rizal, of Flowing Wells High School, and Anthony Talavera, of Tucson High, each were awarded an Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship. The scholarship pays up to $40,000 over four years to study computer science or engineering at the U.S. college or university of their choice.
Talavera and Mohd Rizal are among the 400 students that Amazon is awarding scholarships to this year.
