VACAVILLE — Soroptimist International of Vacaville Twilight is seeking applicants for the club’s 2025 ScholHERship awards program.
The club will award scholarships of no less than $250 each to females who are pursuing training through vocational or tech schools, apprenticeship programs, and adult school students enrolled in a short-term skills improvement program.
“Our mission is to advocate for women and girls and support their goals for success through educational empowerment,” Kim Radford, SI Vacaville Twilight Club president,” said in a statement. “We are offering ScholHERships to help local women who are passionate about their future and have chosen vocational training as their path to achieve their dreams for a better life.”
Applicants must be Solano County residents who are female or identify as female and enrolled or in the process of actively enrolling in a program. Applicants must have a financial need that the award will contribute toward success.
An essay is required to identify what program is being pursued, why that path was chosen, for what the money will be used and the applicant’s vision for the future.
Interviews will be held either in person or on Zoom. Times and dates will be scheduled in May.
